December Update

BECHTEL, LORD AND GUNDERMAN BACK FROM SOUTH CAROLINA: With a few vacation days that he had to use up before January, C3's new Co-Chairman Glenn Gunderman just returned from a 4 day epic bike clinic with C3 elite Sean Bechtel. A small group of C3ahletes headed down to South Carolina for 350km of hilly riding. "It was great to be in our t-shirts getting in some great bike mileage" said Bechtel.

C3's 17 year old star runner/triathlete today won the prestigious Egg Nog Jog by one second over a very experienced older runner. "Pauline has worked very hard this year, balancing training and a very demanding academic schedule" said her coach Barrie Shepley. "The conditions were tough, slippery and the course is notoriously hilly" said Shepley. Other C3 club members who had great races included: Gary Hutchinson (12th overall). Hans Porten (2nd in the men's 50 category). Chris Huet (2nd women's 40). Greg Yaneff (28th in the men's 40 category). Larry O'Connell, Larry Karasiuk, Nicola Ross and Uli Porten all had very solid performances on the tough course. Congrats to all.

C3 UNIVERSITY TEAM-MEMBERS ARE HITTING THE BOOKS: "We are about the entire person and right now, the focus of the kids is hitting the books" said head-coach Barrie Shepley. Part of the C3 High Performance Team are currently writing Christmas University Exams. Best of luck to Taylor Reid, Andrew Yorke, Dave Sharratt and Rachel O'reilly.

Stay fit over the holidays
